Our Campus

St. John’s United Church of Christ is one of three buildings on our Spiritual Center campus, located between the ferry landing and the Madeline Island Yacht Club, just south of downtown LaPointe. In addition to the main church building, which dates to 1925, the campus includes Woods Hall Craft Shop, a decades-long church ministry, as well as the parsonage.

Getting Here

St. John’s is at 706 Main Street in LaPointe, the village on Madeline Island. To reach the island, you must take a ferry in Bayfield, Wisconsin, or drive across the ice road from the mainland in the winter. Once on the island, turn right off the ferry dock onto Main Street and drive one-quarter mile south on Main Street. The church will be on your left.

Membership

There are many ways to be part of the community at St John’s, formal and informal. For some, the commitment of membership is a powerful path of the spirit.
